Monsters Vs. Aliens (2009)

AHH MONSTERS!!! OMG ALIENS!!! Both being rolled into this great comedy, where it’s not us versus them but where they are against each other. With not only a great story and some really great animation, but what brings any animated movie together an amazing all star cast which includes Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Rainn Wilson, Kiefer Sutherland, Stephen Colbert and Paul Rudd. With many funny moments to hilarious one liners this movie is fun not just for the kids but for everyone. With some of my personal favorite one liners that go from how stupid the president is (and how he uses the theme to “Beverly Hills Cop” to talk to aliens) to the problems with the environment.

In most part the story surrounds around Susan (Witherspoon) who is preparing for what is suppose to be the best day of her life when all of a sudden she is hit by a meteor. After surviving that she goes on with her wedding to Derek (Rudd) where she starts glowing green and suddenly starts growing super fast to a height of 49 feet tall. As soon as that happens she get transported to a secret military facility ran by General W.R. Monger (Sutherland) that has been hiding monsters for 50 years. There she learns that to much of her disappointment she is in fact a monsters and she gets her name changed to Ginormica, she also meets the other fellow monsters Link (Arnett), Dr. Cockroach (Laurie) and B.O.B. (Rogen) and Insectosaurus, who have been there for 50 years.

While she is there they only thing she wants more than anything is to change back and go home, and even after letting Dr. Cockroach experiment on her nothing happens. But that all changes when the planet is being attacked by a giant alien robot that was sent by Gallaxhar (Wilson) who is after quantonium radiation that is now apart of Susan. After a rocky start they defeat the robot, but thing are far from over when Gallaxhar finds Susan and picks her up to the spaceship, its up to the rest of the gang to save her. Will they do it? Check out the movie and find out.
