Anyways the trailer for “The Bourne Legacy” has it looking like the film will follow the same format of color palette and cinematography which has been intensely brilliant throughout the series thus far. Like the look of the film the story also looks to be just as great and in depth as the previous. Showing us more of the agents that are like Bourne which is going to make for a thrilling story. It’s will also be nice to see a good deal of familiar faces that are reprising their roles though the government and Tredstone side like Joan Allen, Albert Finney, and Scott Glenn who will prove to be great arsenals in the telling of this story just as they were in previous installments. Edward Norton who is coming in playing the villain looks like he will also do well keeping the character of Aaron Cross on his toes. Little is known about Rachel Weisz’s involvement but you see from the trailer that she seems to be part of the training program of Tredstone but that is pretty much it right now. Weisz is a great actress and has proven herself to be one that can go into many different genres so hopefully she will be a good fit as the female lead although I will miss Julia Stiles and her predecessor Franka Potente. As for Jeremy Renner he looks to be a good choice to play the lead since he has the strong butt kicking look to him and has shown his chops in “The Hurt Locker” and “The Town” having the ladder really show a sadistic side. Although no one can replace Damon and for this he isn’t technically replaced it will be a bit weird when I see this because I and everyone else has gotten so use to watching Damon kick butt and take names, but either way Renner will hopefully hold his own and make his character just as well known as Jason Bourne.
The narrative architect behind the Bourne film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost $1 billion at the global box office: The Bourne Legacy. The writer/director expands the Bourne universe created by Robert Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner) whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three films.
For The Bourne Legacy, Renner joins fellow series newcomers Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, while franchise veterans Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn reprise their roles.
So what do you think of “The Bourne Legacy”, does the trailer hold up to the other installments? Will you see this when if comes out?
